CLIENT PUSH INSTALLATION

hello all.

i am having an issue with client push installation on a Window 10 computer. newly added to domain but it appears that the install does not even attempt it (at the perspective of the computer; no logs in "%WINDIR%\CCM\Logs"). last week i ran an AD System Discovery (a few times) and the new machine just does not show. the computer did get an auto-applied certificate for our inter issuing server. i have not tried to install the MECM manually because quite frankly that would defeat the purpose. what log on server would i look at to see what is happening / not happening?

i found the problem. in the properties of the discovery one can set the OU and sub-OUs to scan. my TEST OU was not in the list. once i added the OU the system was discovered and the client installed within a few minutes. thanks for the help.

    Hi @Jeffrey Tucker ,

    If you are using Client Push installation, first, you have to make sure that all related prerequisites are OK then you can check the ccm.log file in the site server for more details.

    i believe the root of my problem is that my discovery is not finding the computer. i looked over your post for client push and besides the 'install on domain controllers', my settings are the same. i have also seen other computers get the client without issue. maybe i should troubleshoot that? unless i am mistaken the client will not push until it has discovered the computer. correct?
