Windows 10/11 Business Update Cycle

Hi,

My understanding is that when a user with a Microsoft 365 Business Premium license signs in to a Windows device through Azure, that Windows device has its license upgraded to "Windows 10/11 Business". So for example, the base image has Windows 11 Pro 23H2, and then once the device is joined and the user signs in it becomes Windows 11 Business 23H2.

My question is, if my device shows Windows 11 Business 22H2, how do I know if this is still a supported version or not without knowing if its currently on Windows Enterprise or Windows Pro. As there is limited or no information at all for "Windows Business" does the device keep its base image edition e.g. Pro but then just tag on additional features? Or does it update to Enterprise and change the update support?

Thanks in advance.

Windows 11 Business is not a separate edition it is Windows 11 Pro with extra features unlocked through a Microsoft 365 Business Premium license. Since your device shows "Windows 11 Business 22H2". The update cycle likely follows Windows 11 Pro 22H2. which stopped receiving updates on October 8, 2024. To check your device edition, go to Settings > System > About and look at the Windows edition listed. The Latest Windows version as far as I know is Windows 11 24H2.
