Hi, I am trying to do the course offered by Microsoft https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/paths/devops-foundations-core-principles-practices/

I have faced some issues while dealing with Azure. According to their guide, I tried to run a workflow in GitHub. I successfully created one, but my second attempt is going wrong continuously. Please help me figure out the issue.

Hey there, Sandaru Mihiran Weerasekara

The region is what region the app/service is registered in that is closest to you. So as an example, my DevOps project is in the region UK South as this is the closest region. I would have thought this would need to be the same as the region in your project.

When looking at your image, I don't see this function on line 11 as the instructions suggest:

In the Edit pane, replace the eshoponweb-webapp-NAME placeholder in line 11 with the name of the second Azure App Service web app you generated earlier in this exercise

When you look at line 11 on your code, you see

SUBSCRIPTION-ID: ...

This may be where it is going wrong for you here.

No dear, the problem is not with line matters,

initially, they asked me to create App Service web app, using

RESOURCE-GROUP: rg-eshoponweb-westeurope and

RESOURCE-GROUP: rg-eshoponweb-eastus

and I created them successfully and then after tried to create workflows in git hub.

RESOURCE-GROUP: rg-eshoponweb-westeurope successfully created as a workflow and RESOURCE-GROUP: rg-eshoponweb-eastus is the issue, it does not created properly ,

In 25 line of guidance, they ask to replace the existing line and after that they say replace the location variable, my region is South India, but RESOURCE-GROUP: rg-eshoponweb-eastus belongs to East-US Why is that , That's the point I am getting confused .

To complete this task, make sure to finish the prerequisites outlined in the exercises. For the location setting, choose a region that is either nearest to you or recommended by the documentation. Selecting a nearby region helps reduce latency and offers better cost efficiency and availability. The exercise includes several dependencies that require you to provide the Client ID, Client Secret, Subscription ID, and Tenant ID to avoid authentication issues. Additionally, you must update the GitHub repository secrets with these values to ensure the deployment runs smoothly. Kindly review all the details once again to ensure no required information is missing. From our end, the workflows are being created successfully without any errors during our testing.
