Creating an Azure Trusted Signing Account: There are no identity validations available

Steps:

  1. I go to 'Trusted Signing Accounts'
  2. I click on the account
  3. I click on 'Identity Validation'
  4. I get the following message:

"At this time Trusted Signing is only available to organizations based in the USA and Canada that have a verifiable history of three years or more. There are no identity validations available."

There is no obvious way how to proceed from here nor are the messages helpful (I am in the US and the company has 10 years of verifiable history). What do I need to do?

    Hello @baumeister ,

I Understand that you are trying to create a new identity validation form for Trusted Sign in process but the button is not available.

You can follow the below process to create the new identity:

    1. Login to your azure portal and search for Trusted Signing Accounts. Image de l’utilisateur
    2. Now Click on IAM > ADD > Add role assignment. Image de l’utilisateur
    3. Now Select Trusted Signing Identity Verifier role > add Member > Review+assign

If you have owner role on subscription that won't help. To use that New Identity option, you need to have Trusted Signing Identity Verifier role.

    NOTE:
You can't create an identity validation request if you aren't assigned the appropriate role. If the New identity button on the menu bar appears dimmed in the Azure portal, ensure that you are assigned the Trusted Signing Identity Verifier role to proceed with identity validation.

For additional information you can follow: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/trusted-signing/quickstart?tabs=registerrp-portal%2Caccount-portal%2Ccertificateprofile-portal%2Cdeleteresources-portal#create-an-identity-validation-request---organization

Hope this information helps. Let us know if you have any additional queries. Happy to assist you further.

Are you referring to the message in the banner as "error"? If yes, then that is not an error it's a message to let someone onboarding know of the requirements. If your organization meets the requirements then go ahead and create the identity validation request.
