Azure VM Set up for Hot Patch but says Disabled

I have an Azure VM that was built using a 2022-datacenter-azure-edition-hotpatch image. I have followed the steps in the article to enable hot patch, but after I change the update settings to "Hotpatch enabled" it shows status below. What am I missing?

    Ensure that your VM is based on a supported image for Hotpatching. The following images from the Azure Marketplace are designed for Hotpatching;

    If your VM was created using a custom image or an ISO, additional configurations are required to enable Hotpatching.
