Clarification on Billing – Using Free Credits for DevOps Project (No Charges Wanted)

Hello folks,

I recently created an Azure account and received $200 in free credits. I have upgraded to Pay-As-You-Go just to remove the vCPU limits, but I still want to stay fully within the free credit. I do not want to be charged even ₹1 from my bank/card.

I’m using Azure just for learning purposes, to replicate a DevOps project, and I will delete everything after 7 days.

Here is the setup I plan to use:

  • 2 VMs – each with 4 vCPUs and 8 GB RAM

5 VMs – each with 2 vCPUs and 4 GB RAM

All VMs will run Linux (Ubuntu)

No monitoring, no backups, no premium disks – just basic VMs

The VMs will run for 7 days only

According to my research and cost estimation, the total for 7 days comes to around $82.74, which is well within the $200 free credit.

Could you kindly confirm:

Will I be fully covered under the free credit for this setup?

Will I be charged anything at all (even a small amount)?

Is there anything I need to configure to make sure no charges happen outside the $200 credit?

please help me in this so that i can practice and learn.
