Hi,

We're currently experiencing a critical issue with our Azure Database for PostgreSQL - Flexible Server instance (located in francecentral). The server went down suddenly and is marked as "Unavailable (Unplanned)" in Azure Resource Health. The reported status is "UnknownReason", and there's no indication of high CPU usage, max connections, or any planned maintenance around the time of failure.

Key points:

Server status: Unavailable (Unplanned)

We attempted to stop the server via the portal, but it's been stuck in "Stopping" state for over 30 minutes.

  • The Azure Health event started around 15:27 (GMT+2)

No logs indicate any user-initiated action or overload that would explain the failure.

This is affecting production workloads, and we need urgent assistance in either:

Forcibly stopping and restarting the server, or

Identifying root cause and mitigation steps

Please advise on next steps or escalate if needed. We are available to provide additional diagnostics if required.

Thank you,

Achilles
