Extracting emails from the newer outlook

Hello,

I was wondering how can I extract multiple emails from the newer outlook? I cannot seem to drag and drop email files and I cannot locate an export/extract option. I also cannot seem to switch it to the classic version. With a google account, I just used the google takeout. Is there a similar app that would work for the newer outlook?

Thanks

The new Outlook does not currently support export AFAIK. There is an option to export everything in order to import it into a new account but that is about it. Furthermore the new Outlook doesn't even support importing for a lot of things. These are on the roadmap from what I understand but not currently supported.

The recommended workaround, for now, is to switch back to classic Outlook and export the email(s) you care about. Once exported you can switch back to new Outlook. Definitely not ideal but the current UX doesn't support export right now.

If for some reason you don't see a toggle in the new Outlook for Windows, try these troubleshooting steps:

    1. Make sure you try to launch classic Outlook for Windows from the Windows Start Menu, not the new Outlook for Windows. The new Outlook for Windows has a "New" tag on its app icon. For classic Outlook, select the icon without a "New" tag.
    2. From the Windows Start Menu, type "Registry Editor" in the search box and select the Registry Editor app.
    3. Navigate to the following path: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Preferences
    4. Scroll to the bottom of the list to and double click on UseNewOutlook.
    5. Enter 0 in the Value Data field.
    6. Attempt to launch classic Outlook for Windows from the Windows Start Menu.
