Hello,

Microsoft's Cross-Tenant migration framework works as expected for the most part (although, in my opinion, the Microsoft X-Tenant articles are full of inconsistencies and errors). Bothe the EXO and OneDrive migration have worked well for us.

For one small M365 branch, we have hit an odd error...just wondering if anyone might have any suggestions or idea on this issue further below. Thank you in advance.

Apparently Microsoft "Backend" can fix this. :( We have been waiting for Microsoft Support/the M365 "Backend team" to assist. It has been 11+ days and they still have NOT responded. It is, In my opinion, our experience with Microsoft365 support, especially if a case gets escalated to the "Backend team," has been rather disappointing :( ...especially in the past 1-2 years...whether with clients with 700 users or clients with 100 users).

When trying to establish the SPO from Source to Target, via the SPO MGMT CLI, We get the following error:

At Source SPO MGMT CLI: Set-SPOCrossTenantRelationship -Scenario MnA -PartnerRole Target -PartnerCrossTenantHostUrl https://xyz-my.sharepoint.com, we get this error in the SPO MGMT Shell: "Set-SPOCrossTenantRelationship : It has been detected that partners reside in the same SPO location that prevents them from migrating. Please contact MS to resolve this issue. Once the issue has been resolved, please try running the migration again. At line:1 char:1 + Set-SPOCrossTenantRelationship -Scenario MnA -PartnerRole Target -Par ... + ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ + CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [Set-SPOCrossTenantRelationship], ServerException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ServerException,Microsoft.Online.SharePoint.PowerShell.SetSPOCrossTenantRelationship" .

The M365 console, under organization profile, for both the Target and the Source, show Canada as a data centre, the SPO MGMT CLI does not show the Geolocation (null value): Get-SPOTenant | Select-Object GeoLocation GeoLocation.

Thank you.
