Can I use Start-up credits for all the Azure AI Foundry (Microsoft Azure) models?

Which Azure AI Foundry models are eligible for use with Microsoft Sponsored Credits? Can we use sponsored credits for OpenAI models like o3, GPT-4o, and other AI models available through Azure AI Foundry? Are there any restrictions or exclusions we should be aware of when using sponsored credits for AI model consumption?

Startups enrolled in the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub program can use their Azure credits (ranging from $1,000 to $150,000 depending on eligibility) for a wide array of services, including many AI models

Confirmed Supported Models:

• Microsoft Phi Models: These small language models are explicitly supported and optimized for startup use.
• Azure AI Language Services: Includes sentiment analysis, entity extraction, and question answering.
• Meta Llama Models: Available through Azure and covered by startup credits.
• Mistral & Cohere Models: Also listed among supported third-party models.
• Pre-built AI Templates: These are designed for common startup use cases and are deployable using credits.

Some models may require additional licensing or may not be fully covered by startup credits:

• OpenAI Models (e.g., GPT-4o, o3): These are available in Azure AI Foundry but may not be covered by startup credits due to licensing constraints.
• Third-Party Marketplace Models: Models requiring Azure Marketplace subscriptions (e.g., Anthropic, Stability AI) may not be eligible unless separately licensed.
