Azure Functions random network and task exception errors "a task was cancelled" and "unexpected end of request content"

Hello,

we have been experiencing random network and task fail errors. My application code is node.js therefore I am confident that the error below is not from my application but instead from the underlying host.

We have experienced this so far only for HTTP triggered functions.

The exception message is usually:

• a task was cancelled, see exception1.txt
• unexpected end of request content, see exception2.txt

Thank you for reaching out offline and providing an update on the issue.

Issue: Azure Functions random network and task exception errors "a task was cancelled" and "unexpected end of request content"

Resolution: As we received an update from Product team that The hotfix was fully deployed by June 18, 2025, with full adoption expected within 2–4 hours. The issue was mitigated by a rollback, and the new host version includes a fix for the extension bundles problem.
