Dear Microsoft Azure Support Team,

My name is [Your Name], a 17-year-old student in India with an Azure subscription ([Subscription ID]). Three days ago, on June 11, 2025, I received a $10,000 bill for using the DeepSeek model in Azure AI Foundry for a passion side project to learn AI development. I’m contacting you immediately to request assistance, as I’m unable to pay this amount due to my age and financial situation.

I can verify my age with a govt card. As a minor, I was experimenting with Azure AI Foundry to build my AI skills but didn’t set rate limits for the DeepSeek model due to my inexperience, leading to this unexpected bill. I understand my mistake and am committed to learning Azure’s cost management tools to use the platform responsibly.

As a student, I can only afford up to $100, which is all I have. I kindly request a waiver for the remaining $9,900 as a one-time courtesy or acceptance of $100 as full settlement. I’ve stopped using Azure AI Foundry and am willing to delete all project resources to prevent further costs. As a student in India, I’m passionate about learning AI with Azure and hope for your support to continue my educational journey.

Please let me know if you need further details or additional verification. I’m grateful for your time and consideration and look forward to your guidance.

Sincerely,
Arav
