A developer account previously existed that expired last year. It was believed that the profile was deleted to pass the 60/90 days period for re-eligibility. Today, the profile was deleted again, and an email was received indicating eligibility to use the developer program. However, upon accessing the account, the same message about the deleted subscription appears, with no option available to set up the E5 subscription. What steps should be taken to make the developer subscription active again?

    The Solution:

    1. Go to the Developer Dashboard: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/profile/
    2. If you see “Deleted” and no option to create a subscription:
      • Click Contact us at the bottom of the page
    3. Send this message: I’m eligible again but still see “deleted subscription” and can’t activate a new E5. Please reset my profile.

Only Microsoft support can manually reset your profile to allow new activation.
