Inconsistent Visibility of Custom Attributes in Cato Networks Provisioning App (Microsoft Entra)

Hi everyone,

We are Cato Networks, and our provisioning app is listed in the Microsoft Entra gallery.

Our app includes two custom attributes that were added nearly a year ago and are essential for correct provisioning behavior.

However, we’ve observed that when customers create new instances of our app, these custom attributes are sometimes missing from the attribute mappings section.

This inconsistency is causing provisioning issues for our customers, as the attributes are critical to the app’s functionality.

Has anyone encountered similar behavior with gallery apps? Could this be due to a delay in gallery updates, caching issues, or something else in the provisioning framework?

We’d appreciate any insights or guidance on how to ensure these attributes are consistently included when customers instantiate the app.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi @Cato RND ,

Thank you for contacting Q&A Forum. I would like to provide my findings and proposed solution:

Ensure that when customers create new instances of your app, import provisioning configuration by using the Microsoft Graph API to make the customized attribute synchronize consistently. Referring to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/app-provisioning/export-import-provisioning-configuration#export-and-import-your-provisioning-configuration-by-using-the-microsoft-graph-api

Kindly let me know if this work for you and please let me know if you have any further questions.

If I have answered your question, please accept this answer as a token of appreciation and don't forget to give a thumbs up for "Was it helpful"!

    Best regards,
    Eric
