Failure to upgrade to win11 23H2 from Win10

Question

I have been trying to upgrade to Win11 23H2 for a while now and each attempt always fails. Setuperr.log reports the following:

2020-09-10 23:33:22, Error [setup.exe] Winre not found

2020-09-10 23:33:22, Error [setup.exe] winreFindOemWinRe failed: 0x2

2020-09-10 23:33:22, Error [setup.exe] FindWinReSourceImageAndPartition Error 0X2 while searching for OEM winre.wim

2020-09-16 16:36:59, Error CBS Failed to load Session:30836744_4053908430 [HRESULT = 0x80070002 - ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND]

Apparently winre and winre.wim are not resident on my system drive or registry. How do I correct this error so that the upgrade can complete successfully?

5)Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

fltmc

schtasks.exe /Run /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser"

reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\TargetVersionUpgradeExperienceIndicators" /s
