Microsoft authenticator app

I’m having an issue with the Microsoft authenticator app I signed up for a free trial of the Microsoft 365 cloud PC for business and when I am prompted to scan the code, it does not scan then when I type in the information manually, it says that the code is no good and then I have to do the steps all over again and then the same thing happens again where it’s an error with the code so I need someone to fix this or else I can’t access my free trial of the cloud PC

    You can change your default sign-in method, at least temporarily, in the "My sign-ins" > Security info tab in your account.

    I find that the default is usually the top one on the list, which happens to be the most recently added one. But you can change it at the "Change" blue button (see image below).

    I have a cloud PC also.
