Trying to enable a built-in microphone on Windows 11, but in the System settings under Sound, it shows "Choose a device for speaking or recording" with the message that no input devices are found.

In Device Manager, a Microphone Array (AMD Audio Device) is listed, indicating that the "best driver for this device is already installed."

What steps can be taken to resolve this issue?

    1. Check Sound Settings Go to Settings > System > Sound > Input > Manage sound devices → Enable the mic if it's disabled.
    2. Allow Microphone Access Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone → Make sure access is turned on for system and apps.
    3. Restart Audio Services Run services.msc → Restart Windows Audio and Endpoint Builder.
    4. Reinstall Audio Driver
      • In Device Manager, uninstall the audio device (check "Delete driver").
      • Reboot and reinstall drivers from your PC maker (not just AMD).
    5. Check BIOS Settings → Ensure the microphone is enabled in BIOS/UEFI.
    6. Run Troubleshooter Settings > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Recording Audio
