Microsoft Orleans serialization nuget package

Question

Hi,

I would like to know if the nuget package Microsoft.Orleans.Seralization (v9.1.2) described as Fast, flexible, and version-tolerant serializer for .NET can be used with a .NET application that does not use Orleans?

I can't find any documentation on this package, which according to its description, could be used for any .NET application.
