Activate preinstalled WSR2012R2 by VLK

Hi,

I did wrong procedure on installation my product.

I always did and fine as "Download products and keys" from the service centre. installed and activated.

Last month after installation of WSR2012R2, I found the last updated package is 2014. I have to wait for long time to patch.

So that I try download the WSR2012R2 ISO file from Microsoft sebsite direclty. (I was thinkig of it should be bundled with newest updated package. Sorry , I am wrong. It is same issue. newest updated package till 2014.)

Problem is that, The VLK is not able to activate this installed evaluation version(180days trial). Is there any nethod to solve this problem?

    As a work around you can try using kms keys as intermediate step.

    (below assumes 2012 R2 Standard)

    Dism /online /Set-Edition:ServerStandard /AcceptEula /ProductKey:D2N9P-3P6X9-2R39C-7RTCD-MDVJX

    then after reboot

    (below using your volume product key)

    slmgr /ipk xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
    slmgr /ato
