The Specified network name is no longer available

Hi All ,

When it try to connect to a remote computer "Win10" C drive it usually works with no problem but if I didn't reboot this computer for a day or too I suddenly start to get this error :

"The Specified network name is no longer available"

ex. \computername\c$

even when I try using the IP address it is still not working

    Hi,

    Thanks for posting in Q&A platform.

    My understanding is the issue can be resolved by rebooting the remote device? Is it right? Please correct me if my understanding is wrong. Before we go further, please help to confirm if you can ping the IP address of remote device successfully? Or please run "nslookup computerhostname" in a CMD window to see if we can get the correct IP address?

    Could you please temporally disable Windows Firewall to test if the issue still existed?
