Hi there,

We have a weird issue that has just come up with one of our devices. We use a cloud-only environment with Intune enabled devices and Azure logins. One of our users recently reported an issue where they tried to login to a shared device and the only option was to login as the last signed in user. There was no option to select "Other user" and also none of the usual sign-in options were appearing. The account of the last logged in user had been deleted so we couldn't' get in with that.

We've brought this device back in and I was able to access it using safe mode (ran SFC and DISM scans, all fine). I've since rebooted it and now the only option is to login as local administrator - which is disabled! Anyone know what is going on with this device? I can't seem to reboot it or "Fresh Start" it from the Intune panel so it's like the whole thing has locked up somehow. Any ideas?

It seems that there are certain policies that can trigger this.

Please try the following as suggested here:

    • Go to search and type gpedit.msc and open it.
    • Go to computer configuration - windows settings - security settings - local policies - security options
    • Find the Interactive Login: Don't display last signed in and enable that.
    • Reboot and you should be good to go.
