Basic IPv6 Public IP Address

Are Basic IPv6 public addresses meant to allocate an address?

I'm using a Basic Load Balancer with an IPv4 address and would like to allocate an IPv6 address. My problem is whenever I attempt to allocate a Basic IPv6 public IP address the resource deployment succeeds but no IPv6 address is ever assigned. Attempting the same thing but with a Standard SKU does result in an address being allocated. Standard SKU addresses can't be used with a Basic SKU Load Balancer.

It seems strange that a Basic Public IPv6 address deployment succeeds without an error but does not allocate and address.

@Aaron Clauson Basic Load Balancer with IPv6 is possible to be deployed via these options- CLI or PS or Template but not directly via Portal. Here is a document detailing how to do this via Powershell. Hope this helps. Thank you!
