Touch screen is "stiff"

Hi guys I have a surface rt and lately the touch screen is stiff. what I mean by that is it's harder to drag my finger along the screen. I don't think it's a cleanliness issue because iv'e got it with a microfiber cloth but that does nothing. any help out there?
