Surface second screen resolution problem

I have surface pro 4 i7 8GB RAM when i connect my surface in the surface dock and connected in my new pc monitor the resolution of the second monitor stay in 1980x1080(recommend) but the resolution of the monitor is 2560 x 1440. Haw i can fix this?

    i update everything but the same results :( i cannot put the resolution higher. My monitor is ACER K272HUL if help you.

    Hi,

    Not being able to adjust the display resolution on external monitor might be caused by a software or driver glitch. Try following these steps:

    1. Make sure that all Surface and Windows updates are installed. Click here for steps on how to ensure that your device is updated.
    2. Install Surface drivers and firmware manually. You can get the files from this link.
    3. Update your Surface Dock's firmware. follow the steps here to ensure that your Surface Dock is updated.
