When I am typing, my keyboard will randomly take over and start typing in random places, so far I have noticed it repeats "qj" a lot or just "jjjjjjjj" or "qqqjjj". things like that. I will also look through my paper and notice that it inserted those same letters in random places throughout. It did the same thing when I tried googling something. A lot of the letters would not work when I tried typing anywhere. I also could not insert my password to enter my surface pro, I had to disconnect the keyboard and use it as a tablet for it to work. I really don't know why it is doing this, or what is going on.

    Hi Lorenat1,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

Please try these steps first to troubleshoot the issue:

    1: Restart

             Restart the Surface

    2: Force Shutdown

Press and hold Power button for 20 seconds

3: Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and check for Windows Updates

If still issue persist after these steps, this is a hardware issue already on you typecover considering that it is also occurs on isolated keys also. I suggest that you try another typecover or a Bluetooth keyboard and check if issue still occurs to confirm the issue. Please Contact Supportalso so you could check for available replacement options especially if the device is still in warranty. If no, you may consider also getting a new typecover available at the Microsoft Store.
