Browser being reset to Edge after 1909 upgrade

Hello.
I am upgrading my Win10 1803 (enterprise) machines to 1909 using the software update within SCCM. After it upgrades the machines, it has changed the default broswer from IE back to Edge. For my new builds I have the default browser set to IE. Also this is only happening to people that had user profiles already created. Any user that never had logged into the machine still has IE as the default browser.

Anybody else see this? Can this be prevented?

    Hi,

    When there’s a major Windows 10 upgrade, the upgrade recommends switching to Edge, and you might have inadvertently made the switch.

    This is the expected behavior, I had a test and the result is the same with yours.

    If the new builds you have the default browser set to IE that means your settings have been successfully.

    How do you confirm that the user that never had logged into the machine still has IE as the default browser?

    There is nothing wrong ...Edge is the default browser.... You need to change it to other manually.
