Full Text not parsing a specific term correctly

Question

Adding the term "RON 1376" or RON in uppercase followed by a numeric value will not parse correctly
eg:
select * FROM sys.dm_fts_parser ('"RON 1376"', 1033, 0, 0)

returns:
ron 1376
nn1376ron

The same done where "RON" is in lowercase parses correctly.

select * FROM sys.dm_fts_parser ('"ron 1376"', 1033, 0, 0)

returns:
ron
1376
nn1376

Stoplists are off.

The same happens with German and Britis English languages.
Neutral and French parse correctly.

Is this a bug?

As mentioned in this doc, from SQL 2012 Microsoft introduced a new word breaker, but it seems that this work-breaker now recognizes 3 character ISO 4217 Currency Codes, and if there is a number prior to the 3 char code it is not broken up.

Also as mentioned in this forum, one expert wrote a script that identifies all the 1-4 letter character combinations that exhibit this behavior. And from that query we found that we will have problems with any of the following 273 codes:

So if you search any of above codes with number, then you will face this kind of issue.

You could try to use LOWER function to fix this issue and search this text.
