Not saying it is supported. The Surface is a brick and I am looking at alternatives to make it work as a desktop. It is a question for an electronic engineer whi knows about this batteries and what kind of signals the Surface wants to see in the ribbon cable.
Surface 3 without battery
The battery of my Surface 3 decided to swell, while doing so, it also pushed and broke the display/glass.
Guarantee is expired.
Since the trickiest par is don, removing the glass, i went ahead and removed the battery. I have a docking station and the question is:
How do I make my surface run without the battery? I suspect that by reconnecting the flat ribbon cable and making some sort of bridge on the cables that go to the battery I should be able to get it to work.
I tried to power it on while in the docking station and without the battery and the surface logo was coming up on the display, but not moving past that.
I am looking at converting my brick surface into a desktop...Any Ideas?
