With the Surface Pro, you'll need a USB to Ethernet adapter, and then you can use an Ethernet Connection. You may need to be connected to the internet via WiFi to get the USB Ethernet driver from Windows Update though.

Our office is hard wired with cat 6 for net working, can we hook up through the usb port?
