Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter - Solid Green Screen

We have a WDA in our conference room and when the TV is powered on the screen is solid green. I have discovered that removing the HDMI end of the WDA and replacing it causes the device to reboot into the normal home screen. If we restart the TV then we get the solid green screen again. However, if a PC is connected to the device and we power-cycle the TV it reconnects correctly without the solid green screen. I have checked for firmware updates (current version: 2.0.8384) and reset the device but the issue is still happening.

Is anyone else seeing similar behavior or have any suggestions?

Yes the solid green screen was on the TV.

The issue does not happen when connected to a computer.

Correct, only when disconnected from computer

We have not but will do so.

    Thanks,

    Hi, KiddieFry!

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community and posting your concern. I see you are experiencing solid green screen when the Microsoft Wireless Adapter is connected to the TV. We need to ask the following to understand the situation better:

    • Is the solid green screen happening on the TV?
    • What computer is connected to the TV where the adapter is plugged in?
    • The green screen happens when the adapter is plugged into the TV and no computer connected to it, right?
    • If that's the case and the green screen is happening on the TV, have you tried to plug in the adapter on another TV?

    Looking forward for your response!

    Kind regards,
