Hello there!
I have spent about three days installing several updates. Three days ago, I did a total reset of my Surface Pro 3. But now, it seems that I can't install several updates. There are two types of updates, that are troubling me. I either get an error message, that says that the updates can't be installed, or keeps at 0% in hours. I have tried to restart the computer many times, and nothing seems to work. So I am kind of desperate at the moment.
The updates that will not be installed are:
Status: Waiting on installation (I think. My computer is set up at a different language).
Status: Downloads - 0% (Haven't moved in about 3 hours)
I hope someone knows the answer to my technical issues :)

Yuck. It looks like the 99% error is now a known issue ("breaking news")

It is not a problem specific to your Surface, it's something that has gone awry on Microsoft's end with the updating process. Please don't shoot the messenger.
And now I get this error code: (0x800705b4), and that I should contact support...
Hi Barb,
No, the update is stuck at 99%, where it has been since yesterday. My screen looks like this:
"We have found updates.
Status: Installing 99%"
I have tried to download, and run the update you've linked to. But I cannot find a file directly through the link that you've sent.
Although, when I search for the link via. the Catalog, I basicly just download, and run the file which name matches the name of the unfinished update on the computer. You can see the screenshot down below marked with yellow:

If the cumulative update is stuck, try this - go to https://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Sc... and add to basket and download and when complete double click to run. This will run the stand alone installer for this update. Then restart. After that the Defender update should install on its own if it didn't install.
Hope this helps. Please DO mark as Answer if it was of assistance.
