No, you can't pull it from a cmd prompt. You can find it physically - see Find the serial number for your Surface Type Cover (microsoft.com)
Pulling Surface Pro Keyboard Serial Number via the PC
Is it possible to pull the serial number, of an attached keyboard, on the Surface Pro?
* Command Prompt returns the PC's serial number
*Device Manager did not list 'Serial Number' as an option on the following:
- Search="Device Manager">Keyboard>Properties>Details
- Search="Device Manager">USB Connectors Managers>Properties>Details

2021-05-26T23:18:52+00:00 Hi Yu - Shi,
Thank you for your response. I have reviewed the link you provided and it gave me great information. However, I am looking for how to pull the serial number from the keyboard attached.
In the link you provided:
If you look under "Find the serial number on your device" in the 2nd image, you will see the row for "Any Surface Book (on the keyboard)". When the screen is disconnected, there is a serial number on the keyboard...this is what I was wondering if we had the power to pull through the Surface.

Sorry, you cannot get the serial number through CMD pormpt.
It can only be seen by observing the device itself.
