I am looking to get this VPS

https://azure.microsoft.com/en-ca/pricing/calculator/#virtual-machines3794c3c8-67b2-4b7d-a674-0ed26141f0a0

I am only getting this and I have no previous purchases with Microsoft, I am only looking to spend 100$ on that VM, that why I made it 99$.

Does everything look good to go?

Thanks!

    Hi,

The link you provided gives me an empty Azure Calculator.
Keep in mind that the VM calculator only gives you the compute hours and storage costs.
It does not give you a price indication on storage IOPS and outgoing traffic costs. Also you may need an public IP or site-to-site/point-to-site VPN to access the VM and maybe a backup which all costs some money.

Azure is a massive big cloud platform which maybe not the place to be when you just want 1 VM.
I recommend reading some basics about Azure to get a better understanding https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/paths/azure-fundamentals/

    Best regards,
    Pascal

    Hello,

As explained by @Pascal Slijkerman , a VM that cost 100 $ per month does not inclue the associated costs such as network, public IP, in/out storage and so on.

If you're beginning with Azure and cost management is important to you, keep in mind that once you've created your account, you will be able to configure some Budgets. Once you're logged-in, search for the node "Subscriptions" then "Cost Management", and finally "Budgets". In this part, you will be able to create some specific limitation about your Azure consumption to be certain you will remain in your monthly budget for example - and create some Alerting when you're approaching your Budget.
