Hello to all, Everytime I boot up and log in and goto event viewer under system I get this message and the source is application popup : Application popup: Windows - Write Protect Error : Exception Processing Message 0xc00000a2 - Unexpected parameters.. I think it might have to do with Microsoft WIndows Defender Smart App Control but I am not sure at all and I am wondering if that is the case as to why that happens or something else could be the culprit.. Anyways, Thanks in advance for listening and Have a great day and stay safe also.!

Hello there, Thanks for the suggestions but I did have a usb flash drive plugged in at boot to be honest and just so happens I chose to unplug it and then reboot the system and come to find out after the fact it solved the problem at hand as I did not see the application popup in the eventlog afterwards! Anyways, Thanks again and Have a great day ahead and stay safe as well.

    Hi

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

    When did your problem appear?

You could first try to enter safe mode to see if it can be turned on normally.

At the same time, you could close or uninstall your other security anti-virus software, because it may conflict with the built-in defender, and then execute a clean startup to check whether the problem still exists?

(Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem. These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get you back on track.)

Looking forward to your further news.

You are welcome to reply to this topic at any time, and sincerely thank you for your support of Microsoft products and services.

    Best regards
