DirectX Runtime Problem

I recently downloaded G Mod on my computer and can't seem to open it. When I try to open it, it says "your directX runtime is out of date." I checked my directX version and its at 12. I believe that should be high enough to run this game. What do I  do. Where and how do I update my DirectX Runtime. It also tells me to install this from Microsoft. I also updated my Windows 10 again to see if that would do anything, but it didn't.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Microsoft DirectX is included as an integral part in Windows operating systems. You can update DirectX by applying the latest service pack or other updates through Windows Update.

Some applications and games require DirectX 9. However, your computer includes a more recent version of DirectX. If you install and then run an application or game that requires DirectX 9, you might receive an error messages. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

Refer to these steps to uninstall the program.

    a. Press Windows and X key to open a task list from the bottom left corner of the screen.

    b. Select Control Panel.

    c. Select Programs and Features.

    d. Double click on the program you want to uninstall and follow the onscreen instructions.

You can also run the dxdiag.

DirectX Diagnostic Tool helps you troubleshoot issues with the DirectX suite of multimedia technologies that come with Windows. If you're having trouble getting game animation or a movie to run properly, you should run DirectX Diagnostic Tool to try to find the source of the problem.

    a. Go to start screen.

    b. Type in dxdiag, click on dxdiag.exe
