Copilot/Taskbar

Split from this thread.

An observed difference where that of 26052 is preferred:

A difference I see between the Copilot window/panel in 26052 vs 22631.3085. In the latter it goes right to the bottom of the screen including the Sys Tray; bottom of Copilot actually going under the taskbar. However, in 26052 the bottom of Copilot stops before/above and without touching the taskbar or Sys Tray.

"Make a suggestion on an FBH report"

That was my plan/intent. "Great minds think alike" But yes, good idea, I agree.

In Win11 Edge Dev is latest

Aside from the transparency, I may not have seen or realised this immediately because my taskbar auto hides.

    I tried a few things...
Set Edge GA or Dev to default
The setting to force the <-> & Copilot pin icon to both Dev & GA...
Nothing making any difference... Still, right in 26052 but not, in Win11, FOR ME.

Bit of a mystery, at this point.

Interestingly enough, in 26052, Edge GA is the default AND that same setting is Edge (GA)... not having to be set to Dev and yet the <-> is there for Copilot and the pin icon is in it.

    Cheers,

Maybe I hadn't noticed this earlier or at first because I normally have the taskbar & Sys Tray transparent.

Sure, interesting you are not seeing the same behaviour.

    As I showed, 26052 doesn't do this.

Check the version of Edge Dev, Windows Copilot is still driven by EDGE. From what I see your Copilot is opened by EDGE DEV, perhaps your EDGE DEV is not the same Version as mine?

Also, I don't use transparency on my taskbar. You can see in my previous screen shots that it stays above the system tray in both Canary and Public Build. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜‰

Same on 3 different machines with Build 22631.3085. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
