Windows Server 2019 - No email program associated to perform the requested action. Pls install an email program...

Question

I am running Windows Server 2019 and am attempting to email out small files (.jpegs) thru an email program. Preferably Thunderbird.

I use a customer database program (CRM) that I keep customer info in and when I create quotes and invoices for them I can click "email" inside the CRM and it loads an email in Thunderbird that has the customers email prefilled with the quote/invoice attached as a jpg. After switching to the 2019 server, (used to be on the 2013 version I think), this action does not work due to an error coming up that says.

There is no email program associated to perform the requested action. Please install an email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel.

This occurs even if I right click on a file on the desktop > send to > mail recipient. Same error shows up.

I have tried outlook and thunderbird. I have tried switching the default email program.

Any help is appreciated.
