Windows 11 24H2 26100.1000 Release Preview

I'm on a multiboot system and this morning I noticed (on my OEM drive) that my Release Preview drive (under this pc) had a "unlocked lock symbol and a yellow exclamation point."

Researching that I found out that it was Bitlocker.

Did or does Windows 24H2 enable Bitlocker by default?

I have never used bitlocker and I do not recall having activating it on that drive.

Anyways I was able to decrypt that drive.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

hmmm. guess I didn't read that one. I did a clean install awhile back and never noticed that until today. Anyways I decrypted that drive this morning and all is normal now

Doing further research, that info was not included in the release notes 22 May 2024. You have to dig further back around 08 May 2024 to get that info. It would have been nice if Microsoft would have included that Important info with their release notes...

But, Bitlocker should only be turned On

if you clean installed or reinstalled.
