Device Security: Core Isolation - Memory Integrity is Off

Hello... the "Cumulative Update for Windows 11, version 22H2 Insider Preview (10.0.22581.200) (KB5013296)" installed: 29 March 2022 on my HP Omen 25L desktop computer has switched OFF the 'Memory Integrity' protection and will not allow it to be switched on due to an 'outdated / incompatible' driver according to the 'device security' notice.

My system:

Edition Windows 11 Home

Version 22H2

Installed on ‎3/‎28/‎2022

OS build 22581.200

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22581.200.0

When I click the button "Go to settings" of the 'Device Security' warning I only get: "Page not available / The page your are trying to access has no supported features and is not available"

In the lower right hand corner of my monitor screens I am seeing: "Windows Home 11 Evaluation copy, Build 22581.ni_release.220318-1623"; this has never shown on my monitors since I have owned this computer and has never shown up after an update until this last update. This computer has an authorized installation of the Windows OS. It DID NOT come with an "evaluation copy".

I have scoured the support boards to see if anyone else is experiencing this but all I see are messages about the memory integrity mode being switched off but no solution to remedy this issue. And, no one, that I can see, has mentioned the 'evaluation copy' notice as I noted above.

If there is a remedy to this issue, please point me to it; I am not seeing any links with information or any solution... I have reported this via the 'feedback' link in settings but have not gotten a reply...

Thank you for your time...

The memory integrity of Defender will switch off if you do not have compatible driver is normal on older devices. I have a couple non-compliant devices that turns this feature off.

It appears OP was in the Beta channel so would have been on a Release build up to last week when Dev channel build has given Insiders the option to opt out of Insider with 22H2 and Beta channel and Dev channel currently same. He would be seeing the watermark that will be later removed closer to the fall. Dev builds will be moving on from the 225xx builds.

The OP does have 10 days to roll back and switch to Release Preview if he does not want to remain current in Beta channel and run 22000.xxx instead of 22581.xxx

Regards,

==partial quote==

All updates via the insider program, for the most part, have installed with no problems. The 'evaluation copy screen bug' has never shown on the monitor screens until this latest insider update.

The evaluation copy is on your build because right

now the Dev and Beta Channel are on the same

build branch. Once the Dev Channel moves to a

higher build # the evaluation copy watermark on

your Beta build should disappear.

This should happen in a few weeks.

If you click memory integrity on, it should then show you the incompatible drivers. These you should find by running "pnputil -enum-drivers" at the command prompt

    Another one would be "Dism /online /get-drivers /all /format:table > "%userprofile%\downloads\drivers.txt"

Once you have the drivers oem*.inf name, you could try to find an update, or delete it by running "pnputil -f -d oem*.inf

Hello, CrazyKats; thank you for the reply--appreciate it... To answer your question:

What build of Windows did you update from?

Not sure because the only update listed in the 'update history', only the version 22H2 Preview (10.0.22581.200) (KB5013296) is listed, and when I click on 'Learn more' link, only a 'sorry, can't find that page' opens.

What Insider Channel are you in?

    Beta Channel

You got the 22581 build because you opted into the Insider Program.

Yes, I know. I have been opted in since 2019.

You would not have gotten it accidentally.

Yes, I know. Up until this insider update, no problems were encountered

All updates via the insider program, for the most part, have installed with no problems. The 'evaluation copy screen bug' has never shown on the monitor screens until this latest insider update.

I hope my answers help clarify what the issue is I have encountered.

BTW, I tried to find the driver the 'outdated driver' but couldn't find it...
