Task Manager keeps crashing

When I start Task Manager (and System Settings), it opens up with a sample of live apps, then crashes. This has been happening for several days now, since the last Insider Preview update.

    Hello Chris,

    Have you tried open an elevated command prompt. Type or copy-paste the following commands:

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    reboot system

    sfc /scannow

    If that does not get you back on track, suggest using the second option "Fix problems using Windows Update". This will do a Repair Install of your current build. This will retain all data but as with any install, ensure your important files are backed up.

    Use WIN+R and type winver for the exact build #.

    This should give you the precise information, then.

    I am unable to view the version as when I attempt to open System Settings, that app crashes before it displays any information.

    When I check with System Information app this shows the version as: 10.0.22635

    The last error (at 17:51GMT) for Task Manager is as follows:

    updated in 17 days.?
