Notepad Hovering on Tabs triggers DataExchangeHost.exe

Hi,
I'm participating in the Canary channel and noticed that my Notepad kept on crashing when I hovered over it's tabs.
I just found out the reason: For security concerns I renamed the system32/DataExchangeHost.exe to DataExchangeHost.exe.bck, because the process kept on popping up in the background doing something.
I know disabling DataExchangeHost is not a good practice, but does anyone know why a tab hover is trying to trigger this process?
