I'm trying to use an external usb soundcard at high resolutions but the system seems to limit it at 16 bit 44khz.

    Thanks for the reply!

I am using Apple Music which is supposed to support 24bit/192khz.

I guess the virtual bus only supports 16/44khz and the apple music player automaticaly downsamples to the highest available samplerate. Is it or will it be possible to use my DAC as an OTG perpheral on the subsystem? Like hardware access?

    Hi!

Do you want to convert 16bit/44khz through DAC to 24bit/192khz for use on apple music?

If so, you can change it through the DAC, but your sound quality will not be improved because of the change.

    Hi,

WSA is under testing and some features may have issues. As of now, Hardware access is not supported I think, but it is worth reporting to FBH(Win+F) for ideas.

    Hello!

Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for sharing your concern with us today.

After our test, we learned that the Android phone only has a 16 bit 44khz mixer, and the virtual audio output of the Android device is also a virtual mixer. If you have higher requirements for sound quality, we recommend that you wait for the system update or use support High-quality player to listen to music.

Please let us know if there's anything else that we can help you with.

    Best Regards
