Help i accidentally updated to insider program dev and i already updated my version. I want to change it to release preview

    yea its too late already. but i basically wanna change from dev to preview/beta

    Hello Riley,

    Your only option is to go to Release or Release Preview. Beta is 23H2 and that will require a total clean install. You cannot go to a lower build.

    If you decide to remain on 24H2 delete the entire WindowsSelfHost Key. It will be rebuilt after a reboot:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost

    You will then have to do a Repair Install with the ISO image of 24H2 to go to current Release. Mount the ISO image and run setup.exe. It is up to you if you want to go to RP. You can get that here:

    Hello Riley,

    How long ago did you update to Dev. You do have 10 days to roll back your system. In my case the Go Back is greyed out. If this option is not available, please follow the instructions posted in the above link.
