Error while installing Windows Insider Update.

Question

I get an error while downloading the update on Dev Channel "Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.26058.1100 (ge_release)".

The error code is -"0x80070002".

I tried the Get Help app as legacy troubleshooters won't work now.

This also won't work for me - Click here.

Currently I am on build - "Windows 11 Pro Insider Preveiw Build 26052.1100"

My laptop specs-

Processor - "Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1005G1 CPU @ 1.20GHz"

GPU - "Intel UHD Graphics"

RAM - "2X4=8GB"

Storage -

1 - " 1TB HDD (500GB free)"

2 - " 128GB SSD (40GB free)"

I don't know why but the screenshot image is also not being uploaded.

There are no .ISO downloads for cumulative updates to windows insider dev and canary builds. Errors like this are part of the testing process. Microsoft is aware of the issue and it is widespread. They will release a build with a fix eventually but who knows how long that may take.

What make and model is the laptop?

Download the .ISO for 26058 and use it to install from within Windows.
