My current build is 26040.1000. Update is trying to go to 26058.1000, but it fails every time(and has been for weeks). Any help would be appreciated.

There is ongoing issue where some insiders have stuck to build 23620 or 26040

Announcing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26100 (Canary and Dev Channels) | Windows Insider Blog

[IMPORTANT NOTE] We are investigating reports that some Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev Channels are stuck on Build 26040 or Build 23620. The investigation is ongoing, however if you are impacted by this and really want to get onto the latest build in the Canary or Dev Channel today – you can download the latest ISO here and do a clean install and opt your device back into flighting in the Canary or Dev Channels.

There is one workaround that some users have find help on this issue.

I actually tried to use the ISO from the last few releases, but the install crashes out without an error message on screen, and CBS.log doesn't indicate anything obviously wrong where it errors out, so I see:
2024-07-08 08:03:46, Info CBS Trusted Installer is shutting down because: SHUTDOWN_REASON_AUTOSTOP
2024-07-08 08:03:46, Info CBS TiWorker signaled for shutdown, going to exit.

So, I'll play the wait and see game.

You can't use the iso's to update.

You have to clean install to move forward.

Bite the bullet and do it before you get

even further behind and have other problems

    when/if it does get fixed.
