Windows Insider Program error code 0x800bfa07
I get a error code after agreeing to the Windows Insider Program Agreement, Microsoft Insider Program Privacy Statement, etc. Error code is "0x800bfa07". Can anyone help? I really want to get in but it gives me a error everytime. (I go to Update & Security, Windows Insider, Get Started, Register, Agree, error code 0x800bfa07)

2021-08-03T22:34:48+00:00 I have the same issue and deleting the key didn't work. Instead, I now get "we aren't able to talk to our service" with no additional information.
I also can't install the preview build from an in-place upgrade using the ISO. With this attempt, I get to the "What needs your attention screen and it is blank." Reviewing the latest CompatData file from C:$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther shows:

2021-07-11T19:09:41+00:00 Hi,
Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.
I understand that you are unable to join Windows Insider Program on your computer. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.
We can try changing few registry settings and see if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:
**Note:**Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.
Refer the article How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
I would also recommend you to create a system restore point.
- Press Windows logo key + R to open Run dialog box.
- In Run dialog box, type ‘regedit’ and hit Enter.
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost
- Right click on the WindowsSelfHostand select Delete.
- Restart the computer and check.
For additional information, see Meet the Windows Insider Program and Join the Windows Insider Program.
Let us know how it goes.

I get the same error message. I edited the registry and ensured that diagnostic settings are at “optional.” That has not resolved this issue and I am unable to initialize the Insider Program setup.
