Split from this thread.

A lot of us have reported the 0xc1900101 error and can't install the latest build. For me it started with build 27729 and on to 27744. I saw hundreds of upvotes for this issue, but haven't heard anything. Is Microsoft looking into this? It is really frustrating when you can't install a build. Have you heard anything? I did all the stuff that has been suggested on the web, but since the install process doesn't take a mini dump when it fails, there is really nothing to look at.

I tried that as one of my first steps a week ago, but it didn't help. It's fixed now after I flashed the latest BIOS for my motherboard.

So how can I find that last part of the error code? I don't see any dumps that have anything to do with this issue. Normally, I would just look at the dump to see if the code was in there somewhere. Any suggestions?

It's hard to pinpoinnt without a dump file.

    Delete the Windows/SoftwareDistribution/

Download folder and try again. Make sure drivers

are update, otherwise wait for the next build.

That error is a very generic error unless you have

    the #'s after the 1900101.

And it's still listed in the Known Issues:

File the issue in the Feedback Hub so they

gather more info to help solve.
