no wifi

hi

i have found that i have no wifi network on my HP Laptop after installing latest build 27842

reverted back to earlier build and my connection was fine {build 27823}

i have a Surface Pro 11 and not having this issue on this.

any others with this issue.??

    Checking the specs I thought HP would have this chip Intel® AX211 Wi-Fi 6E.

    My surface SP7 has the AX201 chip which has been around for a while.

    Anyhow if you try 27842 again download these drivers first to your desktop or download folder so they are handy. Intel® Wireless Wi-Fi Drivers for Windows® 10 and Windows 11*

    You could try and install them first then update to 27842.

    When you have an error as in no wifi, right click the wifi icon in the taskbar and use diagnose network problems, this can help with a lot of issues but if it doesn't use the following,

    Once back into Windows check the driver version in device manager and if necessary, re-install the drivers you downloaded earlier.

    You can use snip tool to take pictures of your full or part screen and then right click the image into your post, saves taking pictures with your camera.

    EDIT: sometimes re-setting wipes out the network for VMs if you use them so beware of that.

    Hi ianjacksonDET,

    What model is the HP laptop?

    Which wifi hardware are you using?

    When 27842 gave the issue what did the device say, any errors there?

    A while back I used to have issues with wifi so much I had the drivers for it on the desktop so I could re-install them. The Canary build is the worst for issues so things like this pop up.
