Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are unable to join Windows Insider Program. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.

However, please let us know:

1.     What exactly happens when you try to join the Windows Insider Program?

2.     Do you receive any error code/message?

3.     Have you logged in with the Microsoft account?

4.     Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? Refer Which version of Windows operating system am I running?

If you have not linked your Microsoft account, I suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the article Getting started with the Windows Insider Program and join the Insider program.

If you still receive the same error, we can try changing few registry settings and see if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:

**Note:**Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

Refer the article How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

I would also recommend you to create a system restore point.

  1. Press Windows logo key + R to open Run dialog box.
  2. In Run dialog box, type ‘regedit’ and hit Enter.
  3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost
  4. Right click on the WindowsSelfHostand select Delete.
  5. Restart the computer and check.

For additional information, see Meet the Windows Insider Program and Join the Windows Insider Program.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Nikhar Khare
