While you're on the page having trouble, click on the padlock at the left-hand end of the address bar to open the site information panel, then click on Cookies to reveal the cookies that have been set:

You may see dozens of sites that have set cookies, and you can delete them all if you want. This may remove some of your customizations, but it should clear the error you're seeing.

The problem arises over time when the data belonging to a particular cookie grows too big for the limitations applied by the browser. When you reload the page, many of the same cookies will be set again, but with only the initial data.

Is there a longer term fix coming for this? It only seems to happen with Edge (latest update) and for MSN.com for me. I appreciate the instructions for a temporary fix but this seems to be a bug for the Browser and/or site.

Clearing the cookies did not resolve the issue

What is the address of the site where you're seeing this error?

How are you launching the site - from a shortcut, a favourite, from History?

Does it make any difference if you restart the browser before visiting the site after clearing its cookies?

Are you able to visit the site in an InPrivate window (Ctrl-Shift-N)?
